Privacy Policy: How Devenia Handles Your Data
This policy explains how Devenia handles personal data, comments, cookies and contact information.

Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the information shown in the comments form. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address, also called a hash, may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data, including EXIF GPS data.
Visitors can download images from the website and extract any location data they contain.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These cookies are for convenience, so you do not have to enter your details again when you leave another comment. They last for one year.
When you visit the login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the browser.
When you log in, we set cookies that save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select Remember Me, your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and only records the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos, images and articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website directly.
Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. This can include tracking your interaction when you are logged in to an account on that website.
Who we share your data with
For password reset requests, your IP address is included in the password-reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on the website, if any, we also store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time, except that they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also view and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Devenia Send for Gmail
The Devenia Send for Gmail Chrome extension runs only in Gmail web compose windows. It checks visible attachment names, visible attachment sizes and the local file object selected by the user so it can warn when a draft may be too large to send.
The extension does not request Gmail API access, read inbox messages, collect the written email body or read recipient values. It uses only compose attachment labels and controls to work with the visible draft attachment. Browser-local image preparation happens in the browser and does not upload the file to Devenia.
Files are sent to Devenia Send only when the user chooses to open Devenia Send and then chooses to upload a supported file for processing. The extension uses the minimum access needed for its single purpose: helping Gmail web users handle oversized attachments. Devenia Send uses extension data only for this stated purpose and follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
