Make media replacement predictable from the Media Library.
Devenia Replace Media addresses the points where file replacement can feel unreliable. Find the Replace File action, identify the right attachment, refresh the Media Library, and confirm that responsive image URLs use the new asset.
Before replacing, record the attachment and original file. Keep a verified backup. Replace the file from the WordPress Media Library. Check the public page, image sizes, and any cached copy. Update when editors need the admin action, cache busting, and rollback path to behave predictably.

Media Library detection
Button injection and attachment ID detection are more robust across current WordPress media frames, grid views, and details modals. Select the intended attachment first, confirm its filename and dimensions, and do not treat a visible button as proof that the replacement has completed.
Cache-busting coverage
Responsive image srcset output receives the same cache-busting attention as primary image URLs, including repeated replacements. After the write, inspect the page source or browser requests for the new URL and verify that common sizes no longer resolve to the old file.
Safer replacement flow
Staged writes, rollback behavior, stricter permission checks, and a more dependable refresh reduce the chance of uncertain replacement states. Test one attachment on staging, verify the editor and public result, and keep the original file available until the new asset has been confirmed.
